Rutland Railway Museum
Open Air Steam Railway Centre It goes back to the days before mass road transport when most freight was carried by rail and factories, works and quarries had their own railway systems. The museum's open air steam centre hosts a large collection of steam and diesel locomotives, wagons, vans and coaches, together with related items and artefacts. Where to find us We are open for viewing most weekends. Free admission - donations requested. Weekdays and school/private parties by arrangement. Museum shop and refreshments available on open days - Free car park. Would you like to help? The museum is run entirely by volunteers and new members are always welcome.For those who want to play an active part there are a variety of tasks to suit all skills and ages, and training can be given by existing members.
