Rutland Together
Welcome to the Rutland Together websiteRutland Together is the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) for Rutland. The Partnership was established in August 2002 to bring together all of those people and bodies whose work impacts on the lives of local people. The process of establishing the partnership was aided by a task group, set up by Rutland County Council, to engage with community members who would inform and assist decision-making regarding the membership, structure and operation of the LSP. Rutland Together is made up of over 50 partners from the public, private and voluntary sectors. Our main responsibilities are to: →Develop and drive the Rutland Together Sustainable Community Strategy →Deliver the targets in Rutland’s Local Area Agreement In order to drive and deliver the targets set out in these plans, Rutland Together is supported by six 'Theme' groups, the chairs of these 6 groups feed into the LSP Consultation Forum which in turn feeds up to the Executive Board. (This structure is available in the form of a chart here). The aim of an LSP is to improve quality of life and delivery of services in the local area. The issues affecting local quality of life across administrative, geographical and organisational boundaries. The LSP allows different organisations in the community to support each other and work together on different initiatives and services to address local issues. Key improvement priorities for 2010: 2. Activities for children out of school 3. The impact of and on our ageing population 4. Access to primary health care 5.
