Fishing Accommodation and Bed & Breakfast

The garden at Chestnuts, Hambleton

CHESTNUTS, on the Hambleton Peninsula with 1½ acres of gardens overlooking the South Arm of Rutland Water, is the ultimate location for fly fishermen and their partners.
Rutland Water offers some of the finest trout fishing in England.  At CHESTNUTS local fishing knowledge is always available, together with fly tying bench, drying area, freezer facilities, hot smoker, rod racks and ample parking.  We can also arrange boats and permits if required and packed lunches are available on request.

For non-fishing guests, Rutland Water offers sailing, cycling and a nature reserve for bird watchers.  Oakham, an attractive market town, is only 2½ miles away.

Bedrooms with tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite or private bathroom and a guest lounge with TV, snooker table and telephone make a comfortable and relaxing stay.  Full English or Continental breakfast is available and evening meals are but a short walk to the local inn, the Finch's Arms which offers bar snacks and à la carte menu, or the internationally famous Hambleton Hall Hotel.
