LOCATION

The Tithe Barn is situated in a quiet position, away from main roads, and is the perfect place to escape. We have off-road parking, and the local pub, The Sun Inn, is handy for refreshments and meals seven days a week.

Greetham Valley Golf Club is just three miles away, as is Rutland Water, which is a big attraction for fishermen, bird watchers and windsurf enthusiasts. It also has extensive facilities for most other visitors - two visitor centres (one with a butterfly and aquatic centre) with adventure playgrounds, cycle tracks around the perimeter of the reservoir, and two large cycle hire facilities. There are a number of places to access the reservoir, with well landscaped parking areas with toilet facilities, and beautiful bluebell woods in the spring.

Geoff Hamilton's Barnsdale Gardens are just two miles away, and provide a chance to see the gardens he designed and created from scratch for his TV series. These have been expanded and developed by his son Nick, and now includes a Garden Centre where you can purchase plants featured in the gardens, as well as a tea shop.

With the A1 easily reached (but not so you can hear it!) The Tithe Barn makes an ideal stopping point on long journeys up and down the country.
