Theatre Talk: Clive Anderson, President of The Woodland Trust, Wednesday 3 September 7.30pm

Explore the quiet and dark gallery along pathways of large willow trees, small clay boats, tipees and creative writing, with the aim of contemplating environmental issues that affect us all.

Created by students from Rutland’s three community colleges with artist Nita Rao and Renga poet Subhadassi, students were able to contemplate nature’s fragility and appreciation our environment through creative processes. They used sustainable willow to make trees, used recycled paper clay to make leaves and fragile boats and were introduced to, and created, Japanese Renga poetry in response to the world’s changing environment.

Write your wishes for greener living on a leaf and add it to the trees.

The exhibition was created in partnership with, and funded by, Rutland Friends of the Earth.
