The delightful village of Empingham is situated on the edge of Rutland Water, which is England's largest reservoir and has many amenities to enjoy.  We are not far from the A1 and are situated between the old market towns of Oakham and Stamford.  The area is rich in history with Burghley House as well as Grimsthorpe, Belvoir and Rockingham castles.  Also the nationally acclaimed Stamford Shakespeare Company performances are held at nearby Tolethorpe Hall.
