TENT CAMPERS AND CARAVANS ARE WELCOME AT

COTTESMORE VILLAGE HALL, MAIN STREET, COTTESMORE

Camping facilities are available all year round on a small grassed area beside the Village Hall and in a large field behind it.

There is a water tap under cover on the far side of the building and there is a manhole for chemical closet emptying.

Limited toilet and shower facilities are available and are included in the site fee of:

£5 per night per tent or per caravan
(Small reduction for a 7-night stay)

The site is in the centre of the village and has a private members’ social club adjacent to the Village Hall – for which temporary membership is available. At the entrance to the site is The Sun Inn which provides meals.

The village has a chip shop, a post office and general store, a petrol station and an Anglican Church.

Cottesmore lies on the B668 about four miles from the A1 and four miles in the opposite direction from Oakham.

Royal Air Force Cottesmore base is about half-a-mile away. Harriers are stationed there but they do not normally fly at night or at weekends.
