A main attraction is the Grade II* ironstone windmill built in 1814. It is one of only four six-sailed mills remaining in the country and is known as a Six Arm Lincolnshire Cross. The windmill with its tearoom and small shops are open to the public.
At the centre of the village you'll find Miss Gill's Shop (link to photo, below) which must be one of very few buildings of its type remaining in near-original condition, and also rare for a village location. Miss Gill ran a hosiery business there, making socks for the troops during WWI, but later sold sweets and general provisions.
