Competition Launched for Rutland Schools

Primary BritannicaSchools in Rutland will have the chance to win a VIP trip to the Science Museum in London before the end of term as part of a newly-launched education competition.

The competition, which is being run by Encyclopædia Britannica and EducationCity.com, offers one school class a whole day visit to the museum and the chance to experience some fun limited-offer science activities. Britannica and EducationCity.com will also provide up to £500 to the winning school in travel expenses.

Schools from Rutland can enter by signing up to a free trial of Primary Britannica, where they will be entered into a prize draw, which will be made on 27th July 2012, with the winning school being contacted in the new academic year.

The competition has been launched to celebrate a strategic partnership between Britannica and EducationCity.com, which brings together two of the UK’s best educational resource providers. It will provide a complementary range of Britannica’s world-renowned online educational materials for teachers exclusively through EducationCity.com, helping to boost attainment and inspire learners in classrooms across the UK.
