Ryhall Playschool
Ryhall Playschool opens each weekday morning between 9.15 am and 12 noon for Playschool and 9.15 am and 1.15 pm for Pre-school. The afternoon sessions are from 1 pm until 3.30 pm. Playschool is held in a building shared with the Before and After School Club in the grounds of Ryhall C of E Primary School. Playschool children are able to use the Out of School Club between 8 and 9 am each weekday morning.
Our group aim is to create a happy and relaxed environment with varied and stimulating activities for your child to learn through play. Play and learning and development of social skills are so important in the early years. The children learn through active, holistic activities planned to meet their individual needs, and are given opportunities to initiate their own learning, both inside and out.
From 3 years of age children will work within the Foundation Stage of education. Our programme promotes the six areas of learning set out in the Foundation Stage. Personal and Social and Emotional Development, Communication, Language & Literacy, Mathematical Development, Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Creative and Physical Development are all areas of learning which are given due credit.
We usually take children from the age of 2 1/2 years although this depends totally on the individual child. We are a team of 5, all of us having qualifications in childcare and education. We also have a parents rota as we are always very grateful for any extra help.
We offer free places for three and four year old children who qualify. The funding entitles you to 5 x 2 1/2 hour sessions per week free of charge. The fees at present are £5.00 for Playschool morning or £4.50 for the afternoon session and £8.00 for Pre-school.
